Review of Network (1976) by Andrew H — 16 May 2012
If Paul Thomas Anderson was Sidney Lumet's age, he totally would've made some movie like this in the 70s. All these characters weaving in and out of the story, the humor, the style, the entertainment, the absurdity, the brilliant fucking dialogue, comments about love and relationships and passion side by side with elements of celebrity and manipulation and TV and it's just such a wonderful movie.
Even better than 12 Angry Men or Dog Day Afternoon.
