One of the greatest films of all time! And, easily one of the greatest scripts of all time. Magnificently cynical satire of the network news business, it is just as cutting now as it was in 1976. I was super lucky to have seen this as my second R-rated film back then! It is on TCM on a regular basis, and it is almost impossible for me not to watch each and every time.
This is one of those magic moments in filmmaking, where everything comes together at the same time. Director Sidney Lumet is perfect, so is the cast, cinematographer Owen Roizman and more! An absolute must see!
