Review of Nerve (2016) by Thedorkelf — 30 Jul 2016
While it is nice to see a movie about a girl coming out of her shell going to take YOLO to the extreme with a guy, this film is ladden with alot of cliques with some of them nearly painful. While the main actress and actor did a fine job with what they were given, the film is rather boring in the first 30 minutes and gets better the more she does the dares, till it just ends and that is really the movie.
The pacing for the film was decent but what tone the film wanted to set somewhat mixed going from light hearted, to intense, to mean spirited for no good reason, then to intense, and did it pay off, not really.
Still this film more deserves a 4.
