Review of Ned Kelly (2003) by Brett J — 13 Dec 2006

I had been wanting to see this movie for a while. I was in the video store looking for some movies to watch and I saw this one and thought to myself why not. I had been wanting to see it so it's about time I give it a chance. So I rented it.

It was a little slow at the beginning. But, once it got going it was actually a pretty good movie. Heath Ledger did a great job as Ned Kelly. This one of his better performances he has done. Orlando Bloom finally played a role that suits him. The role Orlando played was a bit of a womanizer. But, he did it so well it was almost like it was natural for him. This was a role I have been waiting for from him. Naomi Watts and Geoffry Rush also give good performances in this movie.

This is one of those movies that was kind of under the radar. The under the radar movies are always good in my eyes for the most part. This movie had some good action a bit of a love story and some good acting jobs. All in all a decent film not spectacular but good. :).
