Review of Ned Kelly (2003) by Anna B — 05 Feb 2008
Despite an interesting story of Oz's infamous outlaw this film overall felt a bit flat for there was so much that could have been done to the story. What made me watch it to the end was a strong performance from the late Heath Ledger despite the mediocre script he carries the movie from start to finish. Geoffrey Rush and Naomi Watts both amazing performers in their own right are terribly underused here and could have easily have been played by unknowns.
Not a great film but not a bad one either.
