God, what a boring movie! And as much as I like Ledger, this role just didn't fit him and he lacked every charisma that actually he generally has and what is needed to play a folk hero. A slightly better performance by Bloom, but still for me, non of them acted well the Irishmen.
The direction was pretty good though, however, it would have needed a much better screenplay, the film just never peaked and was lacking focus as well. It was just all over the place.
