Review of Near Dark (1987) by Adam M — 26 May 2008
Cool 80's vampire film that got overshadowed by The Lost Boys a bit but is still very good.When Nathan Patrelli from Heroes falls for a young girl,he follows her and gets caught up and involved with a group of travelling vampires who like to cause mayhem and destruction wherever they go.
This is a pretty understated vampire movie;there's gory moments but it doesn't go overbaord,and thats good because we get to focus on the lead characters feelings for the young girl and the situation he's in.
A good film and a worthy addition to the classic vampire film.
