Review of Near Dark (1987) by Kaitlyn R — 17 Nov 2009
Near Dark doesn't succeed simply because its a good Vampire movie, but because its slick style and smart story make it original enough for it to become a classic. The film is also quite unorthodox for the time period, which makes it even better.
This film can probably, along with the Lost Boys and Bram Stoker's Dracula, be named as one of the greatest Vampire films ever made.
