Review of Near Dark (1987) by Daniel S — 08 Jul 2010
Near Dark is one of the most stylish vampire movies of all time. It's brutal, erotic and soo bloody that you can taste it as it spills. In my personal opinion, it is the Twilight of 1980s. The movie provides a combination of genre which is a potion for success including Horror, Romance and Western.
Nothing in this film was disappointing and I stayed intrigued for the duration of the film. The events that unfold are common for a modern day vampire movie however they prove to be unpredictable and interesting which makes it soo much more enjoyable to watch.
I honestly thought that I had found the superior vampire movie in the form of The Lost Boys... I have been mistaken!!
