Not ENTIRELY sure why this movie is such a cult classic, although seeing a so-young-they-are-nearly-unrecognizable Bill Paxton and Adrian Pasdar was hilarious. Bonus Lance Henricksen! This movie is very VERY 80's, in composition, pacing, dialogue, and it's even scored by Tangerine Dream (but this is certainly no Legend! Loved by the Sun anyone? Hah, that'd be a terrible song for a Vampire movie!) The ending was cheesy, and I almost fell asleep in the middle.

3 stars is being generous, unless you saw this when you were younger and it inexplicably gives you the warm fuzzies. Interestingly enough, was directed by Katheryn Bigelow (Hurt Locker, and LOL Point Break).
