Review of Near Dark (1987) by Lindsey Q — 10 Aug 2010

I feel like the concept for this movie was birthed when someone had the gall to ask themselves, "so what exactly goes on in RV homes?".

So, I feel like this movie is really well-written for the first twenty minutes or so. After a couple poor transitions from scene to scene, the good writing stops, and the cheese factor goes way, way up! That's not to say that it isn't entertaining, because it is, but it isn't good. It's definitely a fun romp filled with cliches and bad (but appropriate) music.

If you see this movie, see it for one thing: exploding vampires!
