A young vampire falls in love with a vampire, and as he turns into a creature of the night, he must choose whether to embrace his new lifestyle and follow his new love or repent it and stay with his loving family.
Near Dark is regularly regarded as a solid work of entertainment and fun, yet Kathryn Bigelow's feature debut may well deserve more credit than it usually get. With its superb balance of action and romanticism, it may just be the perfect spook date movie.
