Review of Natural Born Killers (1994) by Gino C — 02 Aug 2014
Considering this film was 1. Written by Quenton Tarrentino, but not directed sadly, and 2 is concept on something that wasn't really thought out at the time I can under stand how this was...not given the phrase it deserved. I won't say it's GROUNDBREAKING or anything like that. but it is still a good film and an interesting one at that.
The story about a couple of phsycopathic murderers who became lovers due to their horrible pasts and all was an interesting idea and I did enjoy the film it felt very Tarantino but...it didn't at the same time. I think if Tarantino had actually gotten the chance to dirrected it would have been better, that's not to say this film is bad but...just...not as stylish, In all honesty I think the actors are top notch and all but I think Oliver Stone kind of....deviated from Tarantino's original Idea. To be honest I always saw Mikey Knox and Mallory as..either...the same or like...similar characters to Honey bunny and Pumpkin. I honestly think that Tarantino meant for them to be..like..the what happened before pulpfiction story, like come on the film was released the same year, I guess if you can look at it in that way the film is enjoyable if you can't then you may not see why the film is good.
