Review of Natural Born Killers (1994) by Katherine P — 10 Apr 2011
A gutsy assault on the senses from Stone, Killers benefits from a cast just as electrifying. While brilliant as a piece of experimental film, it's certainly not without it's flaws. It's unclear as to whether Stone is suggesting the viewer is a part of the solution or the problem and by the MTV-esque conclusion, the film becomes exactly what it aims to criticize.
That said, I will always admire this film for never backing down and one of the best opening sequences since Pulp Fiction.
