National Velvet is a sentimental and heart-tugging film. It is about a jaded former jockey who helps a young girl prepare a wild but gifted horse for England's Grand National Sweepstakes. Mickey Rooney and Elizabeth Taylor give excellent performances.
The script is well written and touching. Clarance Brown did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the drama. National Velvet is a must see.
