(2004) National Treasure.
ADVENTURE.
Non -action but made in the similar tradition as "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "The DaVinci Code" but without any action sequences but using the concept of historical materials to solve puzzles to find some hidden treasure! What most critics forget here is that it's not meant to be taken seriously since actual historical objects were used to solve things before such as the two aformentioned. This can be case of critics watching way too many films and then when it comes to seeing this one- it would come to be unacceptable!
Great fun as Nicolas Cage and associates comes across a document leading them to find something that is undiscovered, and of course other nemisis coming after them looking for the same thing. Another title can also be called for this film is the mature version of "Treasure Hunt"!
