Review of National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) by Darrell T — 19 May 2013
The funniest movie ever made. Chevy Chase is fabulous in the role that defines him, Clark Griswold. Bevery D'Angelo is great as his wife, Ellen. Anthony Michael Hall & Dana Barron are perfect as Rusty & Audrey, their children.
Randy Quaid is brilliant as the hilarious Cousin Eddie. Imogene Coca is a hoot as Aunt Edna and John Candy is fantastic in his cameo as a Walley World security guard. There is absolutely no dead spots in this movie.
One funny scene after another and it gets funnier each time you watch it...it's the perfect comedy movie and one of the best movies ever made.
