Review of National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) by Victor L — 21 Oct 2010
What an 80's classic, so timeless yet so dated. Chevy Chase is great, I still crack up to this day when he does his 'every now and again' flip out's in his Family Griswald films.
The film itself isn't much but a gag filled road trip movie, but the gags are funny and I did find myself laughing quite a bit. ***Spoiler*** A key scene I crack up in is when the grandmother dies and they chuck her on the car roof so they can keep on holidaying, funny stuff.
And the final scene when they get to Wally's World a complete crack up...so funny. This film is light and fluffy but that's what makes it so enjoyable, you don't think, you just go in and enjoy it...
