Review of National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1 (1993) by Matthew C — 26 Feb 2013
The gags and jokes carry much of the movie, as expected, along with the interesting ensemble cast and the randomness that never lets up. As a parody it works very well and the signature humor of the time, clever wit that isn't all sexual, is a thing of beauty sorely missed in most comedies these days.
Other then that, there's much to say about this film as it charges ahead without worry or care as to what might appear on screen. A wild ride and the laughs are certainly there if you need a lift in your spirits and enjoy the serious police movies, because they certainly get a riff here.
