Review of National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1 (1993) by The B — 29 Jul 2008
The problem with the film is not the lack of material. There is literally a joke every 30 seconds of the film, and this is actually the main weakness of the film. We are bombarded with joke after joke and they start to seem more alike than different.
Overall, the film still provides lots of laughs. If one of the jokes fails, you don't have to wait too long for another one that won't. No real plot at all, just pure slapstick, rapid-fire comedy.
