Review of National Lampoon's European Vacation (1985) by James D — 15 Jun 2008
Hey remember everything that made the first 'Vacation' awesome? Aunt Edna, Walley World, Chevy Chase wandering in the desert, Harold Ramis... well this movie doesn't have any of those. It wasn't really a rehash of the first movie at all, and normally that would be a good thing, but in this case it's not.
It's like the people who made this movie didn't even watch the original. It's fairly bland, and they try to introduce a major plot device 3/4 of the way through the movie, which honestly, just ruined it for me.
