Review of National Lampoon's European Vacation (1985) by Angela K — 03 Jul 2009
I like the Vacation movies, but man is this one bad. Completely unfunny and predictable in every scene with no actual story holding it together. The two kids are incredibly annoying. There is a sense that legendary '80s writer John Hughes did this on purpose to make fun of Americans, but still, it's not entertaining at all.
Except for Eric Idle who literally recites his "Holy Grail" lines.
