Review of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) by Larhonda G — 13 Dec 2011
Right from the opening scene, this movie gets funnier every time. It's not a Christmas favorite but it has lots of wit and charm, plus a hilarious Chevy Chase, to entertain everybody. It's simple, a father's journey, his wish, and a season that blends ideals, families, comedy, and lessons.
The cast own their rolls and the Griswolds shed some light on why Christmas means so much even when it seems that nothing more could go so wrong.
