Christmas vacation is right up there with the original in terms of pure hilarious frivolity. I was so glad to see cousin Eddie come back into the story. And it is leagues ahead of European vacation. The holiday is so frustrating in general that the movie really taps into that nonsense in a way that makes you smile.
