Review of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) by Brandon W — 11 Dec 2015

For the month of December, I decide to watch the funniest Christmas movie that I've probably seen, and that is National Lampoon Christmas Vacation. The beginning starts with some impressive animation, and starts the film with the same characters from the first film, and are fun as ever.

Chevy Chase is great as ever, and so are the cast of the family for that matter. The jokes are really funny, and the writing by John Hughes is really good. The characters are quite memorable still, especially Cousin Eddie who's probably one of the best parts of he film.

The movie does a great job of having a feeling of Christmas all around, and making a lot of sweet moments that seem to understand about what Christmas is all about. It never felt mean-spirited to me, even if it did, it didn't bother me at all.

There are some memorable moments, and a lot of family time that is enjoyable to watch. National Lampoon Christmas Vacation is a classic holiday film that I'll be watching that every time in December.
