Review of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) by Kaden A — 21 Sep 2017

To be honest, I don't really love this movie, and I know a lot of people will disagree with my opinion but this is all my opinion and I'm speaking for just myself. Instead of making the child actors older, they made them younger then they were before unless this movie is a prequel. Their acting is probably better than the kids in European Vacation (1985) but not by far. I don't hate this movie though. In fact I really enjoy it, but the original Vacation (1983) has remained superior to the other two sequels and it's definitely not going to be beaten by Vegas Vacation (1997) or the newest reboot/remake Vacation (2015) which really sucked. The plot was decent for what it was going for. This movie definitely could have some improvement but for what it is, it's good...just not great.

VERDICT- Its problems begin with its boring third act, but if you can get past it's pacing issues, bland and mediocre acting and weak ending then you're in for one crazy ride.
