Review of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) by Mark L — 22 Jul 2011
Always good for a laugh at Christmas time. Watch the satire of family ideologies and the flawed character of Clarke get turned on it's head. Probably the most brilliant part is cousin Eddie and his problems with the piece of government plastic in his head - some of the best dialogue ever constructed and so casually delivered.
Also the satire of American values is not complete without the national anthem at the end.
