Review of Nashville (1975) by Nathan C — 30 Jun 2008
Brilliant and hilarious. it's multiple protagonists and multi-narrative structure create a dead-on collage of what nashville was like in the 70's: rediculous, full of itself, and booming with personalities.
it's not funny nor a comedy, but it's razor sharp satire will have you laughing out loud. this is one of P.T. Anderson's favorite films, and it's influence on boogie nights & magnolia is undeniable.
I want to one day make a movie like THIS.
