Altman's best and the pro forma for subsequent multiple narrative movies, including Magnolia. If Altman changed any one of the 24 storylines drastically it would not have worked at all. I return to this movie every year so I can enjoy the songs and end up watching the story.
Warning-- Many people who don't know any of the politics, mores and music of 1976 tell me they find Nashville boring.
