Review of Narc (2002) by David T — 08 Apr 2008
This is a superb edge of your seat, hundred miles an hour joy ride into the seedy world of drugs and police corruption. It's a film about the Narcotics Officers risking there lifes in the undercover world of police work.
Starring Jason Patric, Chi McBride, Ray Liotta. Jason Patric and Jake Liotta put in star performances as the two uncover police officers trying to solve the case of a gunned down Narc's officer. Both these seasoned police officers have had to fight to rebuild their reputations after some unfortunate mistakes in the field have left them heading to the bottom of the ranks, Patric character is after a desk job, now more risking life and limb in the field just a nice job away from harms reach and to have extra time with his strained marriage due to his work.
Liotta's character is trying to crack the case and ultimately get his revenge for the cop who was his friend. Not everything in this film is black and white and both find out things they were a: trying to hide b: never thought they'd find out about each other.
..this is extremely enjoyable film.
