Review of Napoleon Dynamite (2004) by Corey M — 14 Apr 2015

There are two types of people in this world, only two. Those who like this movie and those who don't, there is no middle ground. I belong to the latter. This is a movie for every weird kid who grew into a standard issue adult because they thought that's what growing up is all about.

But, they secretly wished they could have gained social acceptance with their quirky childhood self. Watching teenagers act as though they are first graders was about as fun as being a high schooler, and I think that's the dividing line.

If you look back fondly on high school, or feel you were misunderstood in school then you'll like this film. If like me you think that high school sucked and no amount of ornamental words will change that then you will not like this film, like I didn't.

I gave it a one because I assume some people will like it, though I don't know any one who does...
