Napoleon Dynamiteâ?¦Napoleon Dynamiteâ?¦.what am I going to do with you? One of the age old questions, is Napolean Dynamite a good film? This question, my friend, is what I am going to answer. Napolean Dynamite is an interesting movie in the least.
I will admit that it is either a love it or hate it movie(it is a cult film). But the first time you see it you wonder the entire time what the hell is going on. Why is this happening? Where is this going to end up? Then after a second viewing you begin to realize that Napoleon Dynamite is in fact about nothing.
Yep, nothing. All it is is a string of events that entertain you for an hour and a half till the end credits begin to roll. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Napoleon Dynamite has the unique ability to do this and get away with it.
It works, it entertains you just enough to not make you turn off the movie for being extremely stupid, and for me, it entertains me way farther then that. It's a film for simply entertainment and some laughs.
It's quirky, hilarious, and undeniably charming, and to answer your question...no, Napoleon Dynamite is not a good film. It's more than that. It's a benchmark in film history and a classic.
