Review of Nanking (2007) by Cell T — 10 Dec 2007
I did not cry, I could not allow myself to do so. because this movie is not abt making its viewers cry for the suffering people of nanking had to endure during the japanese occupation. it put together recital, life footage and interviews of survivors and even japanese soldiers that are still living right now, to give us an objective account of what happened to nanking.
"chinese has the capability to deal with tremendous suffering".
" and good will ultimately outlive evil" are my take backs. its not the japanese that is unforgivable, it is war.
Now I understand why chinese are still upset over japan's denial of comfort women and the visitation of war memorial shrine. I do now.
