Review of Naked Lunch (1991) by Preston R — 08 Nov 2011
As Eraserhead for David Lynch, Naked Lunch represents a certain extreme on the filmography of David Cronenberg and can therefore only be recommended to die hard fans of the director. All the directorâ(TM)s moviesâ(TM) unique traits are evident, but in such extremes, that expectations for traditional movie elements will not be met.
This is not to say the movie lacks story or sensible characters, but it does require some patience and understanding.
