Review of Nada+ (2001) by Ivan C — 13 Oct 2007
This is a very quirky little funny spanish film. It takes place in cuba and uses a lot of old-style comedy in a very fresh way. its childish in a way but it helps bring a lot of comedy to the underlying theme of the politics in cuba and people's desire to flee from it.
In a world where everyday life is so depresing one postal worker sets out to make it a little better by opening other people's letters and rewriting them to making the receivers happy. Rarely do directors nowadays take advantage of color as a medium to set the emotions and stories in their movies and this film shows an excellent portrayal of a good use of color.
