See Roger Ebert's review... he got it correct. I am a Jack Black fan and was terribly disappointed. Some interesting & funny scenes, to be sure, but they are very few and far between. School of Rock was so much better.
Ah well... even good comedic actors make bad films from time to time. Comedy, I think, is so much harder to pull off and sustain than drama. I mean, JackAss 2 was a much better film, in terms of out and out humor (as gross and infantile as it is).
