Review of Mystic River (2003) by Cancelled U — 13 Aug 2010
There are some movies that I had no interest in seeing when they came out, this was one of them, but lately I have been giving some of these movies a chance, and since I have become a huge Clint Eastwood fan, for his acting and directing, I gave Mystic River a look.
And the verdict is, it is really solid movie. From the story, cast, performances and pace, it pretty much all works great. I really felt for Sean Penn's character when he was screaming to know if that was his daughter, being a father myself, it was kind of like getting kicked in the gut to have to think about.
That is what good movies do, they impact you on an emotional level, and Mystic River is just that, a really good movie.
