Review of Mystic River (2003) by Dave S — 11 Apr 2012
Tight ensemble cast, Psychologically tormented male leads. Particularly Tim Robbins, always slightly ambiguous as traumatized Dave and Sean Penn who is belting his anger out to the back row as Jimmy a man who goes through something no father should.
Moving, emotionally charged and realistic. Despite some spotty and unbalanced development for the characters that seems to spoil it a bit this is still a deserving film and one which Mister Eastwood should be proud of.
