Review of Mystic River (2003) by Genio A — 10 Sep 2012
Clint Eastwood's extremely sombre murder mystery will keep you anchored to your seat initially for the plot, but ultimately for the terrific acting. The film benefits hugely from the stripped down approach and the exclusion of visual effects, which many films rely too heavily on these days.
The cast is strong, the dialogue is straight to the point and the cinematography is beautiful. It'll leave you feeling weary but it's worth it.
