Review of Mystic River (2003) by Sean B — 25 Oct 2012
Mystic River (2003): Directed by Clint Eastwood (Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby) this film chronicles the life of three childhood friends who lose touch with one another as they grow older and start lives of their own.
It isn't until a fatal accident happens that they are reunited due to certain circumstances revolving the accident. The main item that stands out to me is the acting. The cast boasts Sean Penn, Kevin Bacon, and Tim Robbins while the supporting cast did a fantastic job as well.
One of my favorite films directed by Clint Eastwood (close with Unforgiven), this dark drama will keep one on the edge of their seat. R-Rated, 154 minute runtime.
