Review of Mystic River (2003) by Eva3Si0N — 26 May 2023
Mystic River is a classic thriller with a star-studded cast. A classic story with a pretty unpredictable ending. Mystic River swings very slowly like a movie. The first 40 minutes, the plot practically does not move in front.
Several paralellular storylines combine into one at the time of the climax, the main plot twist succeeded. The serious ending and absence of Happy End only add Mystic River severity. Mystic River is a prime example of a good symbiosis thriller with family drama.
The thriller here is no more than 1/3 of the film, but almost all the final scenes cause tension. The ending is cruel, but true - in life it would be.
