Anyone who enjoys off the wall humor knows of MST3K and its awesomeness. It all began in the late 80s with Joel Hodgeson and his robot sidekicks stuck in space, forced to watch awful old movies as part of a scientific experiment by Dr. Forrester, a truly mad scientist assisted by TV's Frank. The Movie was done some time after Joel and Frank left the show, replaced respectively by the equally fun Mike Nelson and Brain Guy. This movie was something we fans, called 'Mysties', had been waiting for.
Mike, Tom and Crow have to watch This Island Earth, a lousy attempt at a science fiction movie. Dr. Forrester believes this will be THE movie to break Mike's spirit, driving him utterly mad. Too bad for Forrester that Mike is not so easily ruined. There's the usual massive laughs at the comments Mike and 'bots make about the movie, some of the best about the credits for it. I've seen this so many times, I can practically recite the lines in sync with the movie. If you like this, check out the series, now!
Long live MST3K!
