This is definitely a cult film, and I say that because it seems as if many people don't quite get it. Mystery Men (as the comic) has always been the mockery of superheroes and comics. They're not your everyday superheroes, they are the other guys, the superheroes with such bizarre and useless powers that they never get recognized.
Yet from this movie comes a strangely hilarious comedy and a great underdog movie.
