It's not reasonable, or restrained, or anything decent, but for a generation to write off this and then fall in love with 'Kick Ass' a decade later is rather laughable. Trivial? Yes. Ridiculous? Certainly.
Easily compartmentalising and then lampooning all that makes the sadly persistent superhero genre terrible? You betchya!
