Review of My Year Without Sex (2009) by Brittany R — 09 Dec 2011
A realistic down-under dramadey about a family learning to cope with their mother's limitations after a brain embolism almost kills her. The film focuses on normal family problems that are magnified due to her situation and, most notably, the fact that she must avoid activities which excite or stress her out (sex being the primary activity).
It was honest and realistic but for some reason I also found it incredibly boring. Two things are certain however: I'm glad she lived and at least they got to have sex at the end.
