Review of My Week with Marilyn (2011) by Eric R — 02 May 2012
I was so torn when rating this. On one hand, the movie was a little slow and not gripping. On the other hand, Michelle Williams' portrayal of Marilyn is so striking, that it makes the movie. I have no idea how accurate it is, but she plays Marilyn as such a conflicted soul.
On one level the sex icon. On the other, a nearly childish innocence. She is ethereal. And tormented. Just a fascinating, engrossing character. Worth watching just for that.
