Review of My Week with Marilyn (2011) by Ali S — 22 May 2012
There would probably be nothing remarkable about this film if it weren't for Michelle Williams. I spent the whole film in absolute amazement. By the end, I had forgotten that she wasn't actually Marilyn. Now, that is what we call a good actor!
It was interesting to get to know more of Marilyn's story, especially for someone like me who wasn't even thought of by the time she had come and gone. Hers is a fascinating story of talent, mental illness, exploitation.
