Review of My Way (2012) by William B — 20 Apr 2012
A fusion of Dr. Zhivago, Chariots of Fire,Saving Private Ryan, Enemy at the Gates with a real human interest storyline. Although the lead actors wereKorean and Japanese, I as an American connected with the story.
The War footage was brutal and realistic. Production values were high and the quality excellent. The various nationalities spoke their native languages and the subtitles were nearly flawless. I was the only patron at the 11 AM Arc Light Cinema in Hollywood on Friday AM, April 20th.
Where were all the Korean americans who live in LA? Sad. My compliments to the Producers and Cast and Crew who brought this epic true story to the screen. I really enjoyed the 2 Hr and 24 Min experience.
Better than Saving Private Ryan which had good scenes but a silly story which turned me off. Private Ryan was not worth the deaths and sacrifices his rescue cost the US military. He was an egomaniacal jerk.
