Review of My Summer of Love (2005) by Sarynelli V — 05 Mar 2008

I loved this film. gripping, tense, different, erotic... I didn't know much about this movie when I first saw it advertised on a billboard poster, just that it was about two girls who fell in love, although at the time I thought they were older women.

I thought it was gonna be predictable - one of them being 'straight', the other being gay, the gay one managing to entice the 'straight' one and then they fall in love and live happily ever after.

how wrong could I be. never, EVER judge a book by its cover - this goes for films too. I found it a fascinating portrayal of teenage sexuality, frustration, alienation and love. a must see!!! I highly recommend it.
