This is Splash... With an alien instead of a mermaid, Dan Aykroyd instead of Tom Hanks and Kim Basinger instead of Daryl Hannah. Jon Lovitz provides the, ahem, comedy and some unconvincing visual effects ruin everything which isn't funny.
A scene introducing Kim's alien to sex, Alyson Hannygan and her cute pet dog make this watchable, but only just.
